Biz Travel Solutions, LLC (BTS) was developed by Lynn Hamper drawing on her 30 plus years experience in running her own corporate travel agency. Lynn’s experience covers working with numerous Fortune 500 companies such as Goldman Sachs, Mobil Oil, Harvard Business School Alumni, Norfolk and Southern Railway, Nabisco, IBM, American Red Cross, Fast Systems, Tektronix and CH2M Hill.
Lynn’s inquisitive mind quickly learned to look for areas of fraud resulting in her being named Travel Weekly’s Travel Agent of the Year for her cost recovery program for travel agencies. Lynn has presented her views, ideas and solutions on travel expense management and fraud at numerous seminars throughout the U.S. and been interviewed by more than 50 regional and syndicated coast-to-coast radio stations as well as Chris Woodyard from USA TODAY.
The concept of Biz Travel Solutions, LLC (BTS) was born out of Lynn Hamper’s desire to protect her corporate and business clients from fraudulent activity. As she developed ideas and the manual processes to look for fraud activities she found that even small companies could lose thousands of dollars because of receipt mistakes, company compliance problems or just out right theft. As she continued to apply her extensive knowledge on behalf of her clients she realized that many of these fraudulent or compliance issues were time sensitive. Therefore, traditional review methods could easily miss them.
The interplay between tickets, pricing, options, company compliance and receipt submission makes the process of tracking these activities ever more complicated. The process often becomes even more convoluted because many standard GDS, ticketing services and auditing services reports are too late or too large for an accounting or management team to review. Thus the BTS system was born.
Technology advances allow BTS to pull data from any number of sources run it through a specially designed process that not only identifies inconsistencies, but also lists those discrepancies and flags them in an easy to follow way. The process quickly alerts businesses to potential problem areas and helps them develop in-house processes to prevent future problems.
